What Happens First?
When you contact us for your free, no-obligation quote, we will ask you for a rough idea of of what you would like. Then we arrange a convenient date & time for an appointment with you, so that we can discuss your requirements in more detail.
During our appointment, we answer any questions you may have and offer helpful advice where wanted. We take any measurements that we need of your windows, doors or other items in order to give you an accurate, competitive quote. We never overstay our welcome and we never ask you for an immediate decision.
Soon after our meeting, we send you a comprehensive quotation. This is valid for 28 days, so that you can look through it at your leisure and compare with any other quotes that you may have. Meanwhile, we can easily be contacted to answer any further questions.
If and when you decide to proceed with Chaplin Windows, we arrange to pop-around with some official paperwork, discuss the installation process and answer any more questions. At this time, we also carry out a second, more comprehensive survey of your windows or doors that are being replaced, so that we are fully prepared for your installation.
Installing Your New Windows & Doors
Normally within 3 – 4 weeks later, your new windows & doors have been manufactured and are ready. We contact you and book a convenient date for us to install them in your property.
We take a lot of care to make sure that your property is kept clean as we work, too! Inside, clean coverings are placed on your floor and carpet, and waterproof dustsheets are used to cover soft furnishings, beds & expensive electrical equipment.
Outside, a tarpaulin is used to catch any stray debris from your old windows or doors. When we’ve completed your installation, we tidy up after ourselves and help to replace any heavy furniture, if requested.
We check that you are satisfied and happy with your new double glazing, windows or doors before giving you a final invoice, along with your FENSA Registration and any other relevant paperwork.
